Green Tea

INTRODUCTION
Green Tea is one of the most popular drinks in the world. It has all sorts of health benefits, such as weight loss and prevent consumers from getting heart diseases. Out of many green tea types, Matcha green tea had been claim to be one of the best for improving health. Why is that?
Matcha and regular green tea both come from the Camellia sinensis plant, which is native to China. However, matcha is grown differently than regular green tea.  The tea bushes are covered for about 20-30 days before harvest, to prevent direct sunlight. The shade stimulates an increase in chlorophyll levels, which turns the leaves into a darker shade of green and increases the production of amino acids.
After harvesting, the stems and veins are removed from the leaves. They are then stone-ground into a fine, bright green powder, known as matcha. Because the whole leaf powder is ingested, instead of just water infused through the tea leaves, some matcha's substances are higher than regular green tea. This includes caffeine and antioxidants level.

1) Packed with Antioxidants
2) Helps in Reducing the Risk of Heart Diseases

PREPARING GREEN TEA FOR LOSING WEIGHT
People keep asking me, how many cups of green tea should we drink to lose weight? When is the best time? According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, you need to drink 2-3 cups of green tea a day in order to get the amount of caffeine and catechins (a type of natural phenol and antioxidant) to help you lose weight. Depending on brewing techniques, 1 cup of green tea has about 120-320 mg of catechins and 10-60 mg of caffeine. However, the amount of weight loss is insignificant.
I'm not very sure when is the best time for you to drink green tea but I would like to share with you a story of a woman named Samantha Rees, who loss weight with drinking green tea. Samantha, who weighed 17st 5lb and wore a dress size 24, said she almost halved her size in just over a year by drinking 9 cups of green tea a day.

Samantha Diet Then
Breakfast
2 slices of toast with butter, Mars bar
Lunch
2 cheese sandwiches with a packet of crisps and a Twix
Dinner
Pizza
Snacks
Packet of biscuits and 5 cups of sugary tea

Samantha Diet Now
Breakfast
Green tea and bowl of porridge
Lunch
Chicken with vegetables
Dinner
Lasagne
Snacks
Cup of green tea every hour at work, followed by a final cup at 8pm

It's amazing how she changed her life by changing her bad eating habits to a balanced diet. In any case, 9 cups of green tea a day is too much. I would recommend drinking a maximum of 6 cups of green tea a day because too much caffeine is big NO. Some people may have some health problem regarding the intake of caffeine so I suggest you to refer your doctor for advice before brewing your first cup of green tea. There are some who take green tea extract. In this case, please follow the instruction given strictly to avoid any side effects.
I'm not saying all this to scare you. As far as I know, green tea is very safe and I can say only small group of people may have some bad experience with green tea. Most of the people I know, enjoy green tea especially matcha green tea because they are healthy and soooo delicious 😋.
For me, there are no such things as magic food. So green tea will only assist the consumers to lose weight. But the results can only be seen when you combine it with a balance healthy diet and effective workouts. I always remind myself to never take shortcuts because without hardwork, we would never appreciate what we achieve.
